Charcoal
The one that disappears. Charcoal is the darkest we make, and the least likely to show a night's worth of face cream or a morning's worth of mascara. If you want a mask that looks like nothing and does everything, start here.
Like every Heavylid, it's soft rather than rigid, so it flattens against your pillow instead of levering off it when you turn over — the reason most weighted masks end up on the floor by 3am.
- 000g of evenly spread weight. Enough to feel it settle across your brow and cheekbones, not so much that it presses.
- Fill held in stitched channels. The weight stays where it should instead of pooling into one corner overnight.
- Soft, not rigid. No moulded shell to catch on your pillow when you roll onto your side.
- Shaped nose notch. Relieves pressure across the bridge and closes the light gap most masks leave.
- 100% light blocking. Not "mostly dark" — properly dark, at 5am in June.
- Breathable viscose cover. A plant-derived fibre rather than plastic plush, so it stays soft against the skin without getting stuffy.
Heavy enough to feel like gentle, even pressure across your brow and
cheekbones, light enough that most people stop noticing it within a
couple of minutes. The fill is stitched into channels so the weight
stays spread rather than sliding into one corner overnight. If you've
used a weighted blanket, it's the same idea at a much smaller scale.
No. The shaped nose section lifts the fabric slightly away from the eye area, so the weight rests on the bone around your eyes rather than on the eyelids themselves. You can blink freely underneath it, and it won't flatten lash extensions.
It's warmer than a thin silk mask — that's the trade-off for the padding and weight. The cover is breathable and most people find it settles to skin temperature quickly. If you sleep very warm, it's worth knowing before you order.
Typically: spot clean the cover with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent, then air dry fully before use. Don't machine wash, tumble dry or soak it — that shifts the fill and it won't sit evenly afterwards.
Sleep with it for up to 60 nights. If it isn't right, email us and we'll arrange a free return and a full refund — no need to explain yourself, and you don't need the original packaging. Fit sometimes takes a night or two to settle, so it's worth adjusting before you decide.
UK orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days and usually arrive 2–4 working days after that. Delivery is free across the UK. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it's on its way.
Yes, and the flat shape helps here too — it packs down without
needing a rigid case, unlike moulded masks. It works the same way
upright on a plane as it does on a pillow.
Plenty of people use weighted masks for this and tell us the pressure
and full darkness help. We're not able to make medical claims, though — it's a sleep mask, not a treatment. If you get frequent migraines, speak to your GP about what's causing them.
